Changes at Shallowford

Having worked at Shallowford for many years now I have seen several changes but all for the good. Shallowford has always been, and still is, a place where you can find God in the centre of all things, a place you can relax and call home. We are particularly grateful to one kind neighbour who has donated a very comfortable sofa for the sitting room which makes it even more homely!

So we have sadly said goodbye to Debbie, Alistair and Timber and then two days later welcomed in Alethe as the new warden and now Julia has joined us as project manager the team is complete with Kate looking after the accounts and Will as farm manager. Debbie has taught me so much and has kindly left us numerous helpful books and all her wonderful outdoor equipment for which we are so grateful. Timber is much missed by the children but hopefully Teasel and Minnie will soon find a canine place in their hearts too.

It has been a very busy couple of months with numerous school and youth club visits as well as the groups from Providence House. We have planted new hedges around the farm, repaired gates and started planting in the vegetable garden. We are always looking for more help in the garden so please ring us if you have a spare hour or two at any time. Please see under Events for our full list of what we are doing but on July 27th we will open the farm to youth and other groups who would like to sample what we have on offer if they were to stay with us.

We are always delighted when supporters drop in for a visit but it is best to ring first to check we are there. Looking forward to welcoming you here at some stage,
Blessings, Serena
