This year’s big event will be the 40th anniversary of youth work at Shallowford Farm. To mark the occasion the Saturday 24th September has been set aside. The form that this day will take has not yet been resolved suffice it to say that there will be much to celebrate, organise and cater for. We hope that many people who have been touched by the work that has been done here over the years will come to join in and maybe tell their story.
We hope that you will all mark the date in your diary and join us for the day or stay for the weekend. We will keep you informed of details nearer the time.
We will be hosting the Families Camping Week again from 15th – 18th August. This is a really valuable time to enable many families who could not otherwse have a holiday to get away from the city together.
Widecombe Fair continues to be a key fundraising event for us. The café run by Shallowford Farm with the help of Providence House is a great day for volunteers as is the Archery on the lower field. This year it is on Tuesday 13th September.
PLEASE NOTE: This year’s Country Fair will not take place as we want to sink all the energies of our team and volunteers into the 40th anniversary.
