We joined the Outdoor Weeks of Learning (OWL) programme right at the beginning of the concept in 2020, agreeing that ‘every child should experience an immersive week in nature – as a rite of passage, rather than a journey for the fortunate few.’
Ernest Cook Trust has subsequently enabled us to support 230 young people who would otherwise never gain the opportunity to experience a whole week on our h ill farm.
The collaboration with eight other organisations providing outdoor education has been incredibly helpful, inspiring and reassuring to know that engaging young people, really does ‘make the difference.’
