A wonderful group of 10 children brought their teachers, Mrs. Rawlinson and Mrs. Elliot, to enjoy the farm! The children searched, found, fed and watered all the animals. They followed a trail using new farm maps, collecting pictures of animal products on route, up to Rowden rocks for a “wow” at the view and then back to the farm.
After a quick lunch we challenged the children to round up the ducks and geese, herd them along a twisty course and into a pen. This really tested their ability to be quiet, calm, organised, coordinated and persistent! Then they were asked to help handle the sheep, checking their hooves and sending them back out to the field.
By the time they waved farewell they had clocked up many new experiences to share with their peers back at school.
