Dartmoor in Winter – the sleeping beauty

Winter vistas across the moor to the farm

It is that time of year when everything seems to be waiting for something.

It is often wet, windy and cold with glimmers of sunny crisp days to keep us hoping.

Out on the moor during those times we seem to see nothing but the open bleak hills but taking the time to look closer, really look, smell, touch and feel there are the most wonderful gems hidden away.

So much to find, to listen to, to feel and search for. Take the time, wait and watch.

And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so.
